Spring is in the air and the bluebells are out, which must mean it’s nearly time for this
year’s Steyning Art Trail!

Running across our usual two weekends at the end of May and beginning of June, you can find work from 50 of our members and over 20 guest artists, along with Year 12 students from Steyning Grammar School.

For this year, we have some inspirational new venues added to our annual trail.
For example, the mysterious “Brotherhood Hall”; a C15th listed building with a fascinating history. You can find out more about that at The Steyning Museum, where you can also see examples of work from each venue and pick up a trail brochure.

The quaint Church Cottage and further historic residential and commercial properties dotted along the High Street also feature as treasure troves of art and craft.

Each of our 25 venues is unique, and between them they house a wide range of artistic disciplines. You can discover everything from metal forging to fine jewellery, Ceramic studios, wood turners, painters, printmakers and textile artists.

Plenty of affordable purchases can be found, as well as delicious tea and cakes. But don’t be fooled by our quiet way of life in this historic setting; there are many artists here whose work is contemporary and fresh, as well as being exquisitely crafted.

You could just find the statement piece you need for your home, as well as a great story to tell about where it came from.

Dates: 25th, 26th, 27th May and 1st, 2nd June
Venues open: 11am – 4pm
